This new hospital project replaces the existing facility and is designed to serve the health care needs of the entire population of Cheju Island.  The site is located on the slopes of a now-extinct volcano.  The master plan was designed to accentuate the views out to the sea and to fit comfortably in the surrounding rural landscape. Indigenous wildflowers and palm trees are used to help the project blend into the surrounding natural environment.
